Arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station. Meet our representative and drive to Shillong (approx. 3-4 hours). En route, stop at the mesmerizing Umiam Lake (Barapani), a massive man-made reservoir surrounded by sylvan hills. Upon arrival in Shillong, check-in at your hotel. Evening at leisure to explore the local markets at Police Bazar. Overnight stay in Shillong.
After breakfast, proceed for a full-day city tour. Visit the Don Bosco Museum (showcasing indigenous cultures of the Northeast), Ward’s Lake, and the Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians. Later, drive to Shillong Peak for a panoramic view of the city and visit the beautiful Elephant Falls. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Embark on a full-day excursion to Cherrapunji (Sohra), once the wettest place on Earth. Visit the magnificent Nohkalikai Falls (India's tallest plunge waterfall), the Seven Sisters Falls, and the Eco Park. Explore the limestone formations of Mawsmai Cave. Return to Shillong in the evening passing through the scenic Mawkdok Dympep Valley. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Drive to Mawlynnong, awarded as the "Cleanest Village in Asia." Take a walk through the village and visit the Living Root Bridge. Later, proceed to Dawki to witness the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River. Enjoy a boat ride (optional) where the water is so clear that boats appear to be floating in the air. Return to Shillong. Overnight stay in Shillong.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Drive back to Guwahati. If time permits, visit the Kamakhya Temple. Transfer to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey, carrying the misty memories of Meghalaya.
