Upon arrival at Dimapur airport or railway station, meet our representative and drive to Kohima (approx. 3 hours). Kohima is the land of the Angami Nagas and rich in WWII history. Check into your hotel. If time permits, visit the local market to see unique Naga organic produce. Overnight stay in Kohima.
After breakfast, visit the Kohima War Cemetery, a memorial dedicated to soldiers of the British Empire who died in the Second World War. Continue to the Nagaland State Museum, which houses rare collections of artifacts of the different Naga tribes. Later, drive to Kisama Heritage Village to see traditional Naga Morungs. Overnight stay in Kohima.
Drive to Khonoma (approx. 1 hour), Asia's first 'Green Village.' Known for its history of resistance against British rule and its conservation efforts, Khonoma offers a deep dive into Angami culture. Walk through the village fortifications and see the unique alder tree terrace cultivation. Overnight stay in a village homestay to experience authentic Naga hospitality.
Visit the nearby Dzuleke village, a serene hamlet known for its eco-tourism initiatives and the rare Mithun (state animal). Enjoy nature walks, birdwatching, or a traditional community-hosted lunch. In the afternoon, drive back to Kohima. Spend your final evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Kohima.
After a hearty breakfast, bid farewell to the hills. Drive back to Dimapur. Depending on your schedule, you may visit the Triple Falls or ruins of the Kachari Rajbari. Transfer to Dimapur Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
