Arrive at Dibrugarh and cross the Bogibeel Bridge to reach the North Bank. Drive to Aalo (Along), the headquarters of West Siang district. Enjoy the scenic drive along the Siang River. Check-in and relax. Overnight stay in Aalo.
After breakfast, drive to the "Switzerland of India" - Mechuka (approx. 6-7 hours). Ascend into the mountains, passing small tribal hamlets and waterfalls. Upon arrival, check into your homestay and enjoy the first views of the Yargyapchu River. Overnight stay in Mechuka.
Full day for local exploration. Visit the 400-year-old Samten Yongcha Monastery, the Gurudwara Tapasthali (where Guru Nanak is said to have meditated), and the giant Buddha Statue for a panoramic view of the valley. Walk through the wooden hanging bridges and explore the local Memba tribal culture. Overnight stay in Mechuka.
Drive towards the Indo-China border boundary (access subject to permit). Visit the Hanuman Face rock formation and explore the pristine pine forests. Spend the evening sitting by the Yargyapchu River or trying local delicacies like Momos and Butter Tea. Overnight stay in Mechuka.
Say goodbye to the beautiful valley and drive back to Aalo. En route, visit some Galo tribal villages to see their unique architecture and learn about their lifestyle. Overnight stay in Aalo.
Drive back to Dibrugarh. Depending on your departure time, cross the Bogibeel bridge and transfer to Dibrugarh Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
