Arrive in Aurangabad and check into your hotel. Visit the Bibi Ka Maqbara (often called the Mini Taj) and Panchakki (ancient water mill). In the evening, explore the local markets famous for Himroo shawls. Overnight in Aurangabad.
Full-day excursion to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ajanta Caves (approx. 100 km). Marvel at the ancient Buddhist rock-cut caves, famous for their magnificent frescoes and sculptures dating back to the 2nd century BCE. Return to Aurangabad by evening. (Note: Ajanta Caves are closed on Mondays).
Visit the Ellora Caves (UNESCO Site), featuring Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain monuments, including the spectacular Kailasa Temple. Later, visit the formidable Daulatabad Fort and the Ghrishneshwar Jyotirlinga Temple nearby. Evening at leisure. (Note: Ellora Caves are closed on Tuesdays).
Check out from the hotel. If time permits, visit the Aurangabad Caves on the outskirts of the city. Transfer to the Aurangabad Airport or Railway Station for your departure.
